Shettima threatens to Sack Non-Performing Political Appointees
Borno state Governor, Kashim Shettima has threatened to sack political appointees if they don’t fulfil the obligations of their offices.
Governor Shettima, while speaking at the swearing-in of the new Secretary to the State Government, Jidda Shuwa, and other political appointees in Maiduguri on Monday, said that he will not hesitate to sack any appointee who fails to perform to expectations.
He said that the new appointees were selected based on their track records in service, and urged them to keep up the good reputation.
The appointees include, Modu Musa, Chief of Staff to the Governor and Isa Gusau, Special Adviser on Communication and Strategy, among others.
