Senate Confirms Amechi As Minister, PDP Senators Stage A Walk out

Nigerian Senate on Thursday amidst controversy confirmed former Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Amaechi as minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
However, PDP senators led by the Senate Minority Leader who is also a former governor like Amaechi staged a walk out in protest as the Senate was about to confirmed Amaechi nomination.
The Senate also confirmed 17 other nominees as Ministers.
They are Adebayo Shittu, Khadija Ibrahim, Heineken Lokpobiri, Cladius Daramola, Baba Mustapha, Ocholi James, Adewole Folorunso, and Bawa Bwari. Others are Geoffrey Onyeama, Zainab Ahmed, Mohammed Dan Ali, Usani Uguru, Okechukwu Enelamah, Anwuka Gozie, Mohammed Bello, Adamu Adamu and Aisha Abubakar
