Scotland Vs Nigeria under match fixing investigation

National Crime Agency of UK (an equivalent of FBI) has announced, they are investigating Nigeria pre-World Cup warm-up match versus Scotland on Wednesday.

A match arranged as part of Nigeria Super Eagles preparation for Brazil 2014 world cup is under investigation by The National Crime Agency Officers.
It has been reported that the match is suspected with element of match fixing hence the investigation by the crime agency.

The Football world governing body, according to NigerianEcho findings revealed that FIFA is investigating some previous Nigerian matches after the reported confession of a convicted match fixer.

Meanwhile, the President of Nigeria Football Federation NFF, Alhaji Aminu Maigari has pledged his full support for any investigation panel raised by FIFA .

In an interview with Stephen Keshi after the Eagles final training at the Craven Cottage, he said, “it may be a joke around the corner as his team will prepare as normal like any other previous Super Eagle match.

However, the match despite investigation being conducted by NCA will go ahead as scheduled at the Craven Cottage today.
