Saraki Condoles with Lamido, Emefiele over Mothers’ Demise

Nigeria’s Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki on Saturday commiserated with the Lamido of Adamawa, Alh. Barkindo Mustapha, over the death of his mother, Hajiya Adda Gombeji, at the age of 87.
Saraki also expressed sadness over the death of the mother of the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Godwin Emefiele, Madam Alice Emefiele who was 94 years.
NASS Chairman in a statement by his Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu, specifically lauded the two late matriarchs for the exemplary life they led especially their contributions to the success of their children.
While saying that both Lamido’s and Emefiele’s mothers passed on at a time their invaluable advice were needed by their two illustrious children to advance their services to the country and to humanity, he urged the families of the deceased to take solace in the worthy lives lived by their late mothers.
Saraki however prayed God to grant the souls of the departed sweet repose, and the families, particularly the Lamido and the CBN Governor, the fortitude to bear the painful loss.
