Royal Baby: Prince George to be Christened on October 23

A date has been set for the christening services of he newest member of the Royal Family, Prince George.

The Child born to The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in July will be christened on October 23 at The Chapel Royal, St. James’s Palace by The Archbishop of Canterbury, Most Reverend Justin Welby, in a private service, with further details announced at a later date, as a spokesperson for the Kensington palace said.

Prince George, third in line to the British throne, will be christened in the same place his late paternal Grandmother,Princess Diana was laid at rest for a week following her death in a Paris car crash in 1997.

The venue is a deviation from tradition as The last member of the Royal family to be christened at St. James was Princess Beatrice in 1988 and other members have been christened at the Buckingham Palace.

Speculations have arisen as to who the godparents of the heir will be. Despite many choices being considered, people say the odds favour Prince Harry and Pippa Middleton, siblings to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge more.
