Sharing is caring!

Spanish Giants, Real Madrid seem to be faring very well without Cristiano Ronaldo as Gareth Bale scored the opening goal to help the team beat Villarreal 4-2 and go Real Madridtop of La Liga table.

The Welshman chipped home just after seven minutes into the match and assisted Karim Benzema’s close-range second. Mario Gaspar pulled one back with a fierce first-time drive but Jese put Real Madrid in control with a delicate finish. Giovani Dos Santos scored a brilliant free-kick for the visitors but Benzema sealed it from 18 yards.

Ronaldo was slammed with a 3-match suspension at the Galactico’s previous Liga match against Athletic Bilbao, after responding to a shove by an Athletic player and having a confrontation with another. All efforts by the Club and the Ballon D’or winner to appeal the suspension have been thrown out by the Spanish Refereeing Authorities, though the Referee who booked him has been suspended from action for a month.

Real Madrid are now unbeaten in 23 games in all competitions and they lead the Spanish league on goal difference after rivals Atletico Madrid lost 2-0 to Almeria. Barcelona, who visit Sevilla on Sunday, could overtake both sides on goal difference with a victory.
