Rafua, Former GM Warri Wolves becomes Chairman Delta Force FC

Chief Tony Rafua, Former General Manager of the Premiership Club, Warri Wolves, has been named the Chairman of Delta Force football club.
Delta Force FC, was formed in 2006 but was disbanded in 2010 by the previous government of Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan. The Club is now being revived by the government of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa .
The Asaba based Club will ply it’s trade in the Nigeria National League (NNL) with the likes of Sharks FC of Port Harcourt , Bayelsa United FC, Gateway FC of Abeokuta and others.
Rafua who hails from Ogwashi Uku in Aniocha south local government of Delta state has been General Manager of Gateway FC of Abeokuta, Ogun State as well as the Chief Operating officer of Crown FC of Ogbomosho in Oyo State . He has also served as the General Manager of the high flying Premiership Club, Warri Wolves.
The Chairman of Delta State Sports Commission, Tony Okowa,told NigerianEcho that Rafua is expected to bring his wealth of experience to make the club a pride of Deltans.
“We expect Chief Rafua to turn around the fortunes of the club with his wealth of experience in football administration. We also pledge to give him all the necessary supports to excel”, Okowa said.
Speaking with NigerianEcho, Rafua expressed his determination to make the Club , a darling of all Deltans which they will be proud of. He added that football all over the World has become big business and that his plan is to make Delta Force independent and self sustaining.
