Probe of Chime Administration: EFCC Grills Enugu PDP Chairman ……Mrs Nwobodo still being held

The interrogation of former aides and associates of Sullivan Chime, former governor of Enugu State by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, continued today with the grilling of Ikeje Asogwa, former managing director, Enugu State Housing Corporation and incumbent chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Enugu State.
The suspect, according to an impeccable source within EFCC, arrived the headquarters of the agency in Abuja about 10.30am July 31. He was still being interrogated as at the time of filling this report.
Asogwa’s invitation, it was discovered followed the discovery that Enugu state funds was moved through him ostensibly for housing development but with no trace of the houses as the funds are believed to have been diverted.
His interrogation come a day after Ifeoma Nwobodo, Chime’s ex- Chief of Staff, who is still being held by the agency was grilled for alleged money laundering and misappropriation of funds.
On Thursday, as a prelude to the investigation into the activities of the former Governor of Enugu, Sullivan Chime, his former Chief of Staff, Mrs Ifeoma Nwobodo was invited and still being held by the agency based on barrages of petitions by the state indigines.
The ongoing grilling of the former Managing Director of the State Housing Corporation who is the current Chairman of PDP in the state, Nigerian Echo learnt might not be unconnected with revelations by the held Mrs Nwobodo.
