President Jonathan visits Mubi

President Goodluck Jonathan visited Mubi in Adamawa State on Thursday over three months after the town was attacked as Nigerian troops recaptured the town from the Boko Haram terrorist sect.

The president who arrived Yola International Airport in the morning was accompanied by the chief of Air Defence Staff and all the service chiefs and the Inspector General of Police by helicopter to Mubi.

President Jonathan and his security chiefs also had a closed door meeting with the Emir of Mubi, Isa Ahmadu. He was also expected to leave Adamawa for Borno later on Thursday where he is expected to visit Baga which was also recently recovered from the Boko Haram.
