President Jonathan signs Administration of Criminal Justice Bill into Law
President Goodluck Jonathan has signed the Administration of Criminal Justice Bill 2015 into law.
The President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Dr Reuben Abati, announced the news in an interview with Journalists in Abuja, saying the president signed the bill the day he received it from the National Assembly.
He said: “The president has signed the Administration of Criminal Justice Bill 2015. He signed it the same day he received it from the National Assembly. With that development, the bill is now an Act.”
The bill is meant to address the problem of delayed criminal trials in the country.
