1. ARREST OF ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS/RECOVERY OF WEAPON (ENUGU STATE): On 03.09.2014 at about 4:00PM, Police received a distress call that a three-man robbery gang operating in a tricycle attacked the driver of a Toyota Car (Reg. No. withheld) and robbed his passenger of a purse containing N146,000:00 cash and thereafter escaped with the car. Police Patrol teams were immediately alerted, give the hoodlums a pursued and were later intercepted; two of the suspects were arrested and all stolen items recovered as well as two (2) locally-made double barrel short guns. Injured driver rushed to the hospital for treatment, State CID Enugu is investigating.
2. ARREST OF ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS/RECOVERY OF VEHICLE (LAGOS STATE): On 05.09.2014 at about 10:30AM, Police patrol team attached to Elemoro Division intercepted one V/Wagon Golf car (Reg. No. withheld) with two male occupants. The vehicle was earlier reported snatched from the owner; a Lady on 03.09.2014 at Eleko Junction, Idi Orogbo Epe. Cash sum of money – N200,000:00 and assorted jewelry part of property robbed from the victim were also recovered from the suspects. State CID Panti-Yaba is investigating.
3. ARREST OF ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS (ENUGU STATE): On 07.09.2014 at about2:00AM, Police Patrol team along Opi-Nike road intercepted hoodlums robbing occupants of a commercial bus (reg. no. withheld). Five male suspects were arrested, weapons, money and other valuable items earlier robbed from the victims recovered. All victims safely rescued, State CID Enugu is investigating.
4. RECOVERY OF WEAPON/ARREST OF SUSPECTS (#BENUE STATE): On 04.09.2014 at about 9:00AM, acting on information that weapons were being kept in a house at Old GRA, Katsina-Ala, Police operatives executed a search warrant at the said building, two (2) AK-47 rifle, one (1) Revolver pistol, one (1) single barrel gun and sixty-one (61) rounds of live ammunition were recovered. Five suspects (four male and one female) were arrested at the scene. State CID #Makurdi is investigating.
5. RECOVERY OF WEAPON/ARREST OF SUSPECTS (LAGOS STATE): On 04.09.2014 at about 2:00PM, Police patrol team attached to Area ‘G’ Ogba intercepted two male persons along Oke-Ira Ogba road and when searched one locally-made Pistol and weeds suspected to be Indian hemp were recovered from them, suspects taken into custody. State CID Panti-Yaba is investigating.
6. ARREST OF MURDER SUSPECT (KATSINA STATE): On 05.09.2014 at about 10:30AM, Police received a report that at about 6:00AM of same date one Sani Amadu ‘m’ 30yrs of Gajen Hara village had a misunderstanding with his 20yrs old wife who was four-month pregnant and in the process he allegedly beat/strangulated her hence the victim fainted and became unconscious. Police immediately proceed to the scene where the victim was rushed to General Hospital Batsari, she later died at the hospital. The suspect has been arrested, State CID Katsina is investigating.
7. RECOVERY OF STOLEN VEHICLE (ONDO STATE): On 06.09.2014 at about 6:30PM, Police Patrol team attached to Igbaraoke Division along Akure/Ilesha road flagged down a Suzuki bus with (reg. no. withheld) but the driver refused to stop and zoomed off. The vehicle was given a hot chase by the team and at a point he jumped down from the vehicle and ran into the bush. Upon a search the contact of the owner was discovered therein, a phone call was initiated and the owner confirmed that the vehicle was stolen from Ilesha, Osun State. Vehicle recovered to Police Station and efforts to apprehend suspect is being intensified, State CID Akure is investigating.
8. RECOVERY OF SNATCHED VEHICLE/ARREST OF SUSPECTS (ENUGU STATE): On 06.09.2014 Police operatives from Enugu Command trailed a snatched Toyota Highlander Jeep (reg. no. withheld) to Orokam town in Benue State. Two male suspects that snatched the vehicle from the owner were also found at the scene and arrested, vehicle recovered to Police station for safe keeping. State
