1. ARREST OF ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS (BENUE STATE): On 19.05.2014 at about1:30AM, Police SARS operatives along Gboko-Adi-Katsina Ala road intercepted a five-man robbery gang robbing a vehicle owner on the said road. All Five male suspects were arrested, the gang’s operational vehicle; Toyota Carina II Reg. no. AAA 728 BS and offensive weapons were also recovered at the scene. State CID #‎Makurdi is investigating.

2. ARREST OF ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS/RECOVERY OF WEAPON (EDO STATE): On 19.05.2014 efforts of Police manhunt for armed robbery suspects, kidnappers and cultists in the state yielded result with the tracking down and arrest of seven armed robbery suspects; six male and one female at their hideout. One (1) locally-made pistol, one (1) dummy pistol, six (6) live cartridges, wraps of weed suspected to be Indian hemp, ten (10) different brand of handsets and three (3) digital cameras recovered from the suspects at the scene. Arrested suspects are linked to some recent robbery incidents within Edo State, efforts to apprehend their accomplices are being intensified. State CID #‎Benin is investigating.

3. ARREST OF ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECT/RECOVERY OF WEAPON (EDO STATE): On 19.05.2014 at about 8:30PM, Police patrol along Auchi road by Aduwawa intercepted an Audi 80 car with reg. no. DELTA AX 140 ASB with three (3) male occupants. Two of the occupants took to flight immediately the vehicle came to a halt while the third suspect was arrested and upon a search one (1) cut-to-size single barrel gun, one (1) live cartridge and one (1) iron rod were recovered from the suspect, the gang was on their way to carry out robbery operation. Efforts to apprehend the fleeing suspects are being intensified. State CID Benin is investigating.

4. ARREST OF ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS/RECOVERY OF VEHICLE (‎ENUGU STATE): On 21.05.2014 at about 7:30PM, Police SARS operatives on patrol encountered a four-man robbery gang who just snatched a Toyota Sienna bus (reg. no. withheld) from the owner at Abakpa area Enugu. Two (2) of the suspects were arrested while two others fled the scene with gunshot wounds. One locally-made pistol with five (5) cartridges was recovered from the suspects. The vehicle snatched (details withheld) was also recovered. State CID Enugu is investigating.

5. ARREST OF ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECT/RECOVERY OF WEAPON (OGUN STATE): On 23.05.2014 at about 4:00AM, Police received distress call of ongoing robbery at Anuoluwapo Ayede area. Police patrol teams were immediately dispatched to the scene where one male suspect was arrested and one locally-made pistol recovered from him. State CID #‎Abeokuta is investigating.

6. ARREST OF ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECT/RECOVERY OF WEAPON (FCT #‎ABUJA ): On 23.05.2014 at about 7:45AM, Police received distress call that two armed men just robbed a male victim at Bwari FCT. Police patrol teams were immediately dispatched to the scene but hoodlums had fled before Police arrival. However, the team recovered valuable evidence which was used in tracing one of the hoodlums to the hideout where he was arrested. Two (2) locally-made revolver pistols and eleven (11) rounds of ammunition were recovered from the arrested suspect at the scene. Efforts to apprehend his accomplice are being intensified. FCT CID is investigating.

7. RECOVERY OF WEAPON/ARREST OF SUSPECT (RIVER STATE): On 20.05.2014 at about 11:40AM, upon a tip-off, Police arrested a male suspect at Omagwain and recovered one (1) AK47 rifle with one magazine loaded with ten (10) rounds of 7.62mm ammunition. State CID Port-Harcourt is investigating.

8. RECOVERY OF WEAPON/ARRESTOF SUSPECTS (ANAMBRA STATE): On 21.05.2014 at about 6:30PM, upon information Police tracked down illegal arms dealers to their hideout at Atani. Two suspects; One male and one female were arrested and two (2) G3 rifles, two (2) magazines and six (6) pump action guns were recovered from the suspects at the scene. State CID Awka is investigating.

9. RECOVERY WEAPON/VEHICLE (EDO STATE): On 23.05.2014 Police patrol team around Ikpoba Hill area Benin City, accosted one Toyota Corolla car with reg. no. SLK 615 AA but the driver zoomed off as he was flagged down. The vehicle was given a hot chase and the occupants abandon the car and fled into the nearby bush. When the vehicle was searched, one locally-made pistol, one live cartridge and three lady’s bags were recovered from the vehicle. Efforts to arrest the fleeing suspects are been intensified. State CID Benin is investigating.

10. ARREST OF MURDER SUSPECT (ABIA STATE): On 20.05.2014 at about 6:00PM, Police received report that one 27yrs male (Name withheld) of Umuode road, Aba was allegedly beaten to death by one Jacob Anson 33yrs ‘m’ who claimed that he caught the deceased in bed with his wife a 30yr old (Name withheld). The suspect was arrested and taken into custody, corpse deposited at mortuary for autopsy. State CID Umuahia is investigating.

11. ARREST OF MURDER SUSPECT (LAGOS STATE): On 22.05.2014 at about 3:00PM, Police received report that one 32yr old male commercial bus driver (name withheld) was held down by one Taofeek Oshunogunna ‘m’, aged 39yrs along Herbert Macaulay Street Ebute-Metta over an allegation that he forgot his International passport and provisions in the driver’s commercial bus two months ago. That the driver slumped in the process and was rushed to Ebute-Metta Health Centre where he was confirmed dead. Suspect was arrested while corpse deposited at Mainland Hospital mortuary for autopsy. State CID Panti is investigating.

12. RECOVERY OF UNEXPLODED ORDNANCE (UXO) (ANAMBRA STATE): On 23.05.2014 at about 1:00PM, Police received report of sighting of suspicious object at St. John of God Secondary School Awka. Police Bomb Disposal Experts where immediately dispatched to the scene where an unexploded Ordinance (Bomb) suspected to have been abandoned during the Nigerian civil war was recovered and safely taken away from the scene. State CID Awka is investigating.

13. RECOVERY OF WEEDS SUSPECTED TO BE INDIAN HEMP/ARREST OF SUSPECTS (RIVERS STATE): On 25.05.2014 at about 2:30PM, Police patrol team intercepted a vehicle transporting four sacks of weeds suspected to be Indian hemp. Two suspects name Ayebusiwa Peter ‘m’ a dismissed soldier and one Cpl Sunday Chukwu ‘m’ of Block 10, Room 7, Bori Camp Barracks, Port Harcourt were arrested and taken into custody, while recovered exhibits and vehicle taken to Police station for safe keeping. State CID Port Harcourt is investigating.
