Police Warn Personnel In Ogun Against Extra-judicial Killing

Ogun State Police Command has warned men and officers of the command against extra-judicial killings.
The command also cautioned them on the use of firearms in the discharge of constitutional duty of providing adequate security for the people of the State.
The State Commissioner of Police, Mr Valentine Ntomchukwu, made this warning at the Ogun State Police Headquarters in Abeokuta on Thursday.
The command has paraded 14 suspected cultists, six kidnappers and four members of an armed robbery gang arrested while perpetrating their nefarious activities in different locations in the state.
A 41 year old man and a commercial driver, who kidnapped a 97 year old man for a ransom of two million Naira, have also been arrested and paraded.
According to the command, items recovered from the suspects include an ash colour Toyota Highlander, guns, assorted charms amongst other items.
The state police boss asked the residents of the state to assist the police with genuine information that will assist the command get rid the criminals operating in the state with assurance that police is ready to provide adequate security of lives and property in the state.
