Police tear-gas protesting ASUP, COEASU

Police on Tuesday disrupted protest by striking lecturers of Nigeria’s polytechnics and colleges of education
The protest, held at the Federal Secretariat, Abuja, was disrupted on when police officers fired tear-gas at the protesters, made up of lecturers and students.
Lecturers and students of polytechnics and colleges of education had organised the protest to show their displeasure at the way federal government is handling the strike by polytechnic lecturers ASUP, and college of education lecturers, COEASU.
Polytechnics and colleges of education lecturers have been on strike for months asking federal government to fulfill their agreement.
