Police Nabbed Wanted Bullion Van Robber, Recovered N50m From Herbarlist

A robbery kingpin who specialises in robbing bullion van and have been on the wanted list is now cooling off inside one of the Lagos State Police Command cells.
During the arrest by the crack team from Ilupeju Police Division, sum of $118,000 and £50,000, estimated at N50 million was recovered.
The suspect, Bolaji Oyekanmi, during interrogation said he and others now at large, have robbed Bankers’ Warehouse of the amount, adding that the money was kept with a native doctor.
Based on his confessional statement, the no-nonsense, Divisional Police Officer (DPO) for Ilupeju, Mr. Olayinka Egbeyemi, led his crack team to the house of the native doctor where the money was recovered.
The State Commissioner of Police, CP Fatai Owoseni, it was learnt ordered the DPO to immediately hand over the money to the Bankers’ Warehouse, which was done immediately.
The Commissioner of Police who confirmed the arrest said the suspect would soon be charged to court.
