Police Nabbed 20 Kidnappers In Anambra

Officers of the Anambra State Police Command have arrested 20 suspected kidnappers within one week of its ‘Operation Clear All’ aimed at ridding the state of criminals.
The operation according to report monitored on Channels is against kidnappers and armed robbers who in recent times have made life uncomfortable for people in in the State.
During the operation, police recovered sophisticated arms and ammunition, 9,000 live cartridges and bags of Indian hemp from the suspects.
Addressing reporters on the development, the state Commissioner of Police, Usman Gwary, promised a continuous manhunt on kidnappers and armed robbers until Anambra becomes safe and peaceful.
The police boss warned kidnappers to desist from the act, reminding them that the death penalty awaits perpetrators of such crime when found guilty after prosecution.
