Police Chief dies in his sleep

Nigeria Police on Tuesday lost one of its senior officers to the cold hands of death as an Assistant Commissioner of Police reportedly died in his sleep.
The ACP, Kayode Adewoye said to have been found stone-dead by his family members on his bed in Police Officers’ quarters, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos State was Commandant, Police Training School, Iperu in Ogun State.
Police sources said, neighbour of the late officer, discovered he was dead when very unusual he did not come out from his room and decided to check on him.
Sources informed that what caused ACP Adewoye death was not known but, he was said to be a diabetic patient.
A report revealed that, night before his death, Adewoye had taken his kids out for a treat, which means he was hale and healthy.
The late officer joined Nigeria Police Force as a Cadet in 1990, which placed him in the cadet ASP Course 290.
Among places he had worked as DPO are, Badagry, Ilasa and Bariga.
An alumnus of University of Ilorin, late ACP left three children behind.
