Police Boss Warns Officers against excessive use of force against suspects

The Commissioner of Police Ogun State CP Abdulmajid Ali has again warned officers and men of the command against involvement in criminal acts and misuse or excessive use of power.

The Police boss sounded the note of warning while addressing a cross section of officers in the command  including his management team, Divisional Police officers and Heads of Department at the Police Officers Wives Association Secretariat Eleweran Abeokuta on Monday.

The Commissioner of Police emphasized on unprofessional conducts of some officers who behave like demi gods in their various areas and will not permit the general public to have access to them.  He warned that every police officer is a public servant and must be Free with the general public.

In the same vein, CP Abdulmajid Ali warned against extortion, corrupt practices, misuse or excessive use of Force or power, discreditable conducts and inappropriate behaviors.
He vowed to deal decisively with any officer or member of the force who defaults and engages in any act capable of denting the image of the force as such will not be tolerated by the present leadership of the Nigeria Police Force.

The Commissioner of Police Ogun State then seized the opportunity to alert his officers on the preparation for the forth coming 40th anniversary of creation of Ogun state which comes up on February 3rd, 2016.  He directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Department of Operations to prepare the operation Order and distribute same without any delay.

The Police boss then decorated the newly promoted Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Awotunde Modupe, with his new rank of ACP.  She is the officer in charge of Medical section of the command.
