police AIG, CP address town hall meeting on security in Ogun

The Assistant Inspector general of Police in charge of Zone 2 Command Lagos AIG Bala Hassan and the Commissioner of Police Ogun State CP Abdulnajid Ali today addressed a town hall meeting organized by the Police Community Relations Committee, Sagamu Area Command,held at the Mega Hall, Redemption Camp,Kilometre 46,Lagos/Ibadan Expressway Ogun State.

The AIG zone 2 AIG Bala Hassan appreciated the PCRC Sagamu Area Command for organizing such a town Hall meeting where certain and germane security issues were discussed for having adequate protection of lives and property in Ogun State.

The Police Boss then,on behalf of the Inspector General of Police,IGP Solomon Arase,promised the PCRC and other stakeholders of proper, modern and people-oriented policing in the country as the present leadership of the Nigeria Police Force has zero tolerance for corruption and unprofessionalism.

In his reaction ,the commissioner of Police Ogun State,CP Abdulmajid Ali,who was the chief host at the meeting,appreciated the AIG for finding time to attend and address the gathering ,with the assurances of giving adequate support to Ogun State Command being a pace-setter in full implementation of principles of community policing in Nigeria Police Force.

The National Deputy Chairman PCRC,South,and State Chairman Ogun State,Chief Mrs Adesola Adebutu,appreciated the AIG,CP Ogun and other stakeholders for attending the meeting,and that the PCRC will continue to render useful assistance and intelligence to the police and other security agencies in the state .

Other dignitaries present at the town hall meeting included the Deputy Commisssioner of police in charge of department of Operations Ogun State,DCP Bello Makwashi,Area Commander Sagamu Area Command ACP Janga,,Zonal Police Public Relations Officer Lagos CSP Lawal Adebowale,Divisional Police Officers in Sagamu Area Command,State Executive members of PCRC Ogun State,Police PRO Ogun State DSP Muyiwa Adejobi and some Officials of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

In another development, the Commissioner of Police Ogun State CP Abdulmajid Ali has visited the new International Market,along lagos/Ibadan Expressway,Ogere Ogun State.

The Commissioner of Police ,who was accompanied by some other senior police officers,accessed the security situation of the area and deployed some police teams to maintain law and order,and embark on adequate patrol of the areas. He warned that he will not tolerate any act of insecurity in the area.

The police also advised traders and buyers or those who will be coming for transactions in the market to be security conscious and maintain law and order as the Command will not accept any unlawful and unauthorized activities within and/or around the area.
