Police Affairs Minister Demands Release Of Abducted Girls

The Minister of Police Affairs, Mr Abduljelili Adesiyan, has demanded for the immediate release of the 200 girls abducted by suspected members of Boko Haram on Monday.Boko Haram Gunmen

The suspected members of the sect abducted the students in a raid at a Girls Secondary School in Chibok , a town on the border between Borno and Adamawa States.

The assault on the all-female high school took place on Monday night. Mr Adesiyan called for an end to the abduction of girls and an the killing of innocent Nigerians.

At the Palace of Olu Ibadan in Oyo state, the minister said the terrorists were taking their activities too far by abducting school children.

“If it is true, it is bad and I am appealing to those that are killing in the name of God to stop doing so, as it is not acceptable to God Himself.

“They should stop and desist from such dastardly act,” he said. Mr Adesiyan advised the terrorists to end the killing of innocent Nigerians, insisting that it was against the teachings of Islam.
