PDP says Farewell to Senator Chukwumerije
The Peoples Democratic Party has released a statement to mourn the death of its veteran member, Senator Uche Chukwumerije, who passed away on sunday.
The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Olisa Metuh, in the statement said that the loss is a very sad one, describing Chukwumerije as a well respected statesman and patriot.
According to the party, Senator Chukuwumerije’s life portrayed brilliance, forthrightness, loyalty and commitment to the service of Nigeria.
The statement said, “he was a democratic icon and an outstanding party-man who remained committed to the ideology of the PDP and the visions of the founding fathers.
“We will greatly miss him. Our hearts and thoughts go out to his family as we pray God to give them the fortitude to bear this great loss.”
