PDP not Scared of Missing $20 billion Probe

Sharing is caring!

The National leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party has said that it has nothing against the proposed plan by the President-elect, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, to probe the missing $20 billion from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation as it has nothing to hide.

The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Olisa Metuh, made this known to journalists, on Monday, saying however that although the probe is a welcome development, it will not accept any witch hunt selectively planned against it.

Metuh said: “PDP is not afraid of probe, but we would resist any witch hunt and any probe that is selective or discriminatory.”

Gen. Buhari is set to institute a probe into the case of the $20 billion missing from the NNPC account during President Jonathan’s administration, after his inauguration on May 29.
