Oyo PDP Guber Candidate Appoints Former Speaker as DG of Campaign Organisation
The gubernatorial candidate of the Oyo State Peoples Democratic Party, Sen. Teslim Folarin, has appointed the former Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Asimiyu Alarape, as the Director-General of his campaign organisation.
The development was disclosed in a statement issued in Ibadan on Sunday, revealing that former Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, Oyo State Council, Victor Oluwadamilare was also appointed as the Director of Media and Strategy of the organisation.
The statement described Alarape as a respected grassroots politician, tactician who holds a B.Sc degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile -Ife, Osun.
Alarape was also a member of the National Republican Convention (NRC), United Nigerian Congress Party (UNCP), All Peoples Party (APP), Alliance for Democracy (AD) and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
He was the Special Adviser to former Gov. Adebayo Alao-Akala on Political Matters from 2007 to 2011.
