Oyo pays compensation for dualization
Oyo state Government has commenced payment of compensation to property owners whose property were affected by the dualization of roads in the state.
The state Commissioner for Lands Housing and Survey, Mr. Isaac Omodewu stated this while addressing the press at the Governor’s office Agodi Ibadan.
Mr Omodewu said the payment of compensation became necessary to bring succor to the people who sacrificed their property for the urban renewal programme of the state Government.
The lands commissioner explained that the payment has been grouped into two batches while the payment of the first batch would commence by next Monday.
Mr. Omodewu also used the opportunity to inform the public that the state Government had commenced lease and allocation of Government lands in Iseyin, shaki and Ogbomoso to interested members of the public.
He also emphasized the commitment of his ministry to ensuring that Certificate of Occupancy is processed within 60 days while deeds of assignment are issued within 2weeks and sublease in one week.
