Oyo GOVT TO EVOLVE NEW STRATEGIES ON PAYMENT OF SALARIES.
There is a need for Oyo state Government to evolve new strategies to Combat the challenges of salary payment and infrastructural development in the state.
The Oyo state Governor Senator Abiola Ajimobi stated this while conducting a medical team from the Maryland state, USA around Agodi Garden in Ibadan.
Governor Ajimobi said the visit of the medical team to Oyo state was a fall out of his earlier visit to Maryland during the tour of USA in the company of President Mohammadu Buhari last month.
He said the only way for Oyo state to develop in all spheres of development was to partner with developed countries and tap from their wealth of experience.
He explained that Morgan State University is willing to partner with Oyo state Government to ensure a smooth take off of the Technical University Ibadan whose take off was suspended by Texas University for the fear of Boko Haram insurgency.
While speaking on the decision of the state Government to clear all outstanding salaries of civil servants in the state. Governor Ajimobi explained that there is a need for the state Government to review its taxes and other sources of income of the state Government.
The leader of the Medical team who is also the Commissioner in charge of Africa Maryland state, Dr Anu Eesuola expressed readiness of the Maryland state to partner oyo state Government in all areas to accelerate her level, of development.
She said a mobile clinic which would serve the people of the state free of charge was donated by her team to concretize the cordial relationship between Maryland state and Oyo state Government.
Earlier the medical team had visited the state Governor at the Governor’s office where a letter from the Governor of Maryland state Larry Hogan to formalize the relationship was presented to Governor Abiola Ajimobi.
