Oyetola Will Continue To Enhance Workers Welfare – Senator Ajibola Basiru
The Director General, Governor Adegboyega Oyetola Campaign Organisation, and Senate Spokesperson, Senator Ajibola Basiru has assured the workers that Governor Adegboyega Oyetola will not let Osun workers down in the areas of improved welfare and provision of social amenities in the state that will make life more abundant for the people of Osun if re-elected as the Governor.
Senator Ajibola Basiru said Oyetola is the most experienced candidate among all the contenders in the July 16, 2022 election having over 30 years congnitive private sector experience in finance and management and 11 and half years consecutive experience in governance with outstanding record of success.
He said Oyetola has stabilised the Cjvil Service with regular payment of full salary, pension and gratuity and recently lifted embargo on promotion and staff conversion to ensure required carrier progression in the service so as to sustain efficiency and institutionalise government programmes and policies.
Basiru said this on Wednesday while delivering a lecture at a Two – Day Workshop for the leadership of the Nigerian Union of Local Government (NULGE) in Osun State, held at Iloko Ijesa, Osun State.
According to him, in the last three and half years, the Governor has paid over N35 Billion on workers welfare such
as pension, gratuity and also spent closed to half a Billion Naira to the children of deceased retired and serving civil servants to make life comfortable for their families.
The DG however appealed to Osun Workers to rally support for Governor Oyetola for a better and prosperous Osun, saying this is a critical time for the state that must not be subjected to any form of experimentation.
He said ” while I am not going to abuse any candidate contesting this Governorship election, the logic is simple as when you have two Air Crafts and one is to be piloted by an amateur and inexperienced pilot and the the other one is to be piloted by an experienced and professional pilot which one would you board ? You will definitely go for the one that gurantee your safety and smooth journey. The analogy of the next Governorship election in our State is as simple as that.
“Oyetola is not only experienced, he is calculative, honest, discipline and God fearing. The best thing to do is to return him as Governor in July 16 Governorship Election. “He has touched every facet of the development in the state ranging from Health to Infrastructure, environmental and social Intervention and it is better to choose him ahead of anyone else”, Basiru said.
Speaking earlier while declaring the workshop open on behalf of Governor Oyetola, the State Commissioner for Local Government and Cheiftancy Affairs, Prince Adebayo Adeleke assured the workers that the Governor Oyetola will not stop the payment of full salary if re – elected contrary to the rumour being peddled by the opposition party.
