Osun APC governorship primary holds Saturday

State of Osun chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has announced that it will hold the party’s governorship primary this Saturday to unveil its flagbearer for the August 9 election.

According to a statement by the party’s Director of Publicity, Research and Strategy, Barr. Kunle Oyatomi in Osogbo on Thursday, the primary, which is described as ‘ward based’ will hold in all the 332 wards in the State.

Already, the party’s officials from the National Secretariat in Abuja are in the State capital to ensure that the process as stipulated by the Electoral Law for the exercise is democratically applied.
The primary is scheduled to take off at the ward centres between 8 – 10 am; while results will be collated at the local government headquarters between 12 – 2pm. The final collation and endorsement of the candidate will be made at the party’s secretariat in Osogbo, later in the day.

Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola is the only aspirant who picked and returned the form to affirm his interest in running at the next governorship election.

The party is therefore, urging all its members who are qualified to participate in the exercise to do so peacefully and in the characteristic of the virtuous citizens of State of Osun.
