Osinbajo says Buhari’s Administration is God’s Plan for Nigeria’s transformation
The newly-sworn in Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo has said that the the new administration of President Muhammadu Buhari is part of God’s plan to transform and heal Nigeria.
According to Osinbajo, who spoke during a thanksgiving service held at the National Christian Centre in Abuja, Buhari won the election because he is God’s tool to build Nigeria into a nation that will be admired among other nations of the world.
He said, “I thank the great and mighty God who has chosen me at this time by Himself to assist the President of this nation. His plan is to make Nigeria a nation that will be admired and respected amongst the nations of the earth.
“This will be done by ensuring that corruption is eradicated and resources meant for all are not cornered by a few, but are used according to law, justice and equity for the benefit of all.
“The Lord wants a nation ruled only in accordance with law and justice where the guilty are punished and the good is rewarded. This links to President Muhammadu Buhari’s inaugural speech yesterday (Friday).
“Sure, you will agree that he emphasised these three clear designs of God.”
The minister at the service, Bishop Wale Oke of the Sword of the Spirit Ministries, however warned Osinbajo not to permit corruption or unholiness as it can tarnish his good image.
He said, “If you are corrupt, you cannot be a friend of God. We pray that you will enjoy the manifestation of God all the days of your life.
“When others don’t have answer to a situation, God will reveal it to you. He will make you the Joseph of this administration. God will reveal the secret of the problems of Nigeria to you like Joseph and Daniel in the Holy Bible.
“The nation has a brilliant hope in the combination of you and Buhari, who is known for his uprightness,” he added.
Special prayers were offered for Osinbajo and his family, the church and for the nation during the service attended by a former Head of State, Gen. Yakubu Gowon (retd.), his wife, Victoria and All Progressives Congress’ leaders.
Osinbajo directed that the offerings received during the thanksgiving service should be taken to the camps of Internally Displaced Persons.
