Orlando Bloom Receives Hollywood Walk of Fame Star

Sharing is caring!

Hollywood Actor, Orlando Bloom has said he has “never been so happy to be walked over” after receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

The Lord Of The Rings actor who was joined by his three-year-old son, Flynn for the ceremony in Los Angeles, told fans present at the ceremony: “We may have all heard actors complain that they feel walked on, trampled upon, occasionally overlooked, but that’s just part of the business, right?

“Today, however, is a different story. Never have I been so happy to be walked over and trampled upon. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that I’d be standing here receiving a star on this mythical walk of fame,” he said.

Bloom earned worldwide fame for his role as the elvish archer “Legolas” in Peter Jackson’s adaptation of the J.R.R Tolkein books. He also featured in blockbuster franchise, Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean film series, alongside Keira Knightley and Johnny Depp, further cementing his A-list star status.

Bloom married Australian model Miranda Kerr in 2010 and Flynn was born in January 2011. The pair announced they were separating last October.

Oscar-winner Forest Whitaker was also at the ceremony to support his “Zulu” co-star.
