Ondo league management committee to unveil ‘Sunshine Premier League’

Ondo State League Management Committee(O’LMC) will on July, 2 unveil a new grassroot Ondo State Soccer League, titled, ‘The Sunshine League’.
Chairman, League Management Company,(LMC), Shehu Dikko, is expected to be the Special Guest at the occasion. Also expected at the occasion is Seyi Akinwunmi, the Vice-President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
A statement released by the Chairman, Ondo State League Management Committee (O’LMC), Dapo Ajibade on Friday in Akure revealed the new soccer event in the state.
According to the statement, While the O’LMC has yet to decide the teams to play under the league other dignitaries expected to grace the occasion include all the chairmen of football associations in the South West states.
Co-hosts of the events as stated in the release are the executive board member of the NFF, Dele Ajayi and LMC member, Akin Akinbobola, who is also the Chairman, Ondo State Football Agency.
The statement revealed further that, the O’LMC would use the occasion to formally unveils it’s patrons and the Sunshine Premier League (SPL).
The statement stated further, “The effort of the present Board of the NFF to develop the game at the grassroots has been taken as a top priority by the Ajayi-led Ondo FA.
“This is the first time the top hierarchy of football will be in this state officially to witness an event that many have tagged the “super vision”.
