Okowa Congratulates New NUJ President, Odusile

 

Delta State Governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa has congratulated Mr. Abdulwaheed Odusile on his election as the new President Nigeria Union of Journalists and urged him to uphold the tenets and ethical standard of the profession.

Senator Okowa described the election  of the NUJ president as a call to ensure the maintenance of professionalism and strict ethical standard in the journalism profession.

He urged him to take the training and retraining of journalists in the country very seriously as this was the only way that professionalism can be restored to the journalism profession and meet best practices.

Governor Okowa also used the opportunity to congratulate the new NUJ Vice President Zone C [South-South Zone], Mr. Edward Ogude and other elected officials on their election and promised to continue to partner and support the union to achieve its professional goals.
