Ogun SARS boss refurbishes abandoned APCs
The officer in charge of the Special Anti Robbery Squad Ogun State, Gbenga Megbope, has single-handedly refurbished 2(two) abandoned Armoured Personnel Carriers that had been kept at the Police Mobile Force Base in Abeokuta for several years.
The active police officers, who sourced for fund to put these APCs in shape, was appointed the officer in charge of the Ogun State Rebranded Special Anti Robbery Squad by the Commissioner of Police Ogun State CP Abdulmajid Ali barely 4 months ago to resuscitate the squad which remains the striking force of the command.
The Commissioner of Police Ogun State, CP Abdulmajid Ali, has commended the crime buster, CSP Gbenga Megbope, for his thoughtfulness and professionalism. The Police boss showered this encomium on him while receiving and commissioning the 2 refurbished APCs and parading some suspects at the SARS base, Magbon, Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Monday.
CP Abdulmajid Ali therefore charged other officers in various sections or departments to emulate CSP Gbenga Megbope and resuscitate or overhaul their various offices for efficiency and good service delivery.
The Commissioner of Police has immediately deployed the APCs to Ijebu Ode and Sagamu Areas of the state for aggressive patrol to clamp down criminals, particularly cultists, kidnappers and vandals in order to have a sigh of relief in these parts of the state.
