Ogun Retired Magistrate murdered by House Help

A retired Chief Magistrate in Ogun State, Olufunmilayo Timehin, has been reportedly murdered by her housemaid on Friday.

The house help identified as David according to a police source matcheted late magistrate in her residence in Laderin Estate area of Abeokuta.

Information has it that, the house help was employed by the magistrate few months ago, but was sent packing some days ago for stealing and carting away properties of the magistrate.

NigerianEcho learnt, the maid returned to the house yesterday and jumped over the fence from the back of the house with the use of a ladder after he had allegedly switch off the alarm in the house and matcheted the 65-year-old retired judge to death.

Nemesis however catched up with the killer maid when the judge son, Olumide, arrived at the house to see his mother and on approaching the gate already locked he heard a screaming voice inside and jumped over the fence only to found his mother dead in her pool of blood.

The action of the son attracted the State Vigilance Service in the estate, who embarked on a search that led to the apprehension of the alleged killer maid who was said to have hid in the bush behind the house. The suspect who feigned madness was subsequently handed over  to the police.
