Ogun police parley hunters on adequate security
The Ogun State police command has parleyed the local hunters in Egbaland and Ogun state in general on collaborative measures to have effective policing of Ogun state.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the command, DSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, made the intention of the command to incorporate them and other relevant sectors of the society into the security network in the state known when he addressed a cross section of hunters at the Odeda Police Divisional Headquarters Odeda on Thursday.

Police formation will not jettison or underrate the role of hunters in Intelligence gathering and effective policing of any community. He stated further that the Ogun State police command has been partnering with them and will not relent in its effort to solidify the existing synergy between them and the police.
The command spokesman confirmed the readiness and commitment of the Commissioner of Police Ogun State CP Abdulmajid Ali to embrace all sectors or stakeholders in security business in the state to have a safer environment for all and sundry in the state.
Muyiwa Adejobi also assured the hunters of adequate support and protection in all areas provided they(hunters) are law-abiding and operate within the ambit of the law.
In his reaction, the chairman hunters Association Odeda Zone, Chief Ogundairo, who facilitated the meeting, appreciated the police command for its support and recognition accorded the hunters in the state, and promised, on behalf of the entire members of the Association, to be law-abiding and responsive to protection of lives and property in Ogun State.
The hunters therefore commended the Commissioner of Police Ogun State CP Abdulmajid Ali for his good leadership styles and accessibility to every member of the public which has encouraged everyone to have trust and confidence in the Police.
