Ogun State police Command has again cautioned the students of all schools particularly polytechnics in Ogun State against cultism and criminal activities that are capable of destroying their lives and carrier.

This warning came during the Students Day Summit organized by the National Association of Poly Students,Ogun State Chapter, held at the NUT Hall,Kuto,Abeokuta Ogun State recently.

The Commissioner of Police Ogun State CP Abdulmajid Ali who was represented by the Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi challenged the students on rampant cult related crises recorded in ogun state, that most of them were recorded on and around poly campuses.

The Police Command then seized the opportunity to remind the students and youths in the state of it’s zero tolerance for cultism and social vices.

The command vowed to arrest and prosecute anyone or group of persons(youths) who engage themselves in cultism and any other crimes, particularly cultism as it remains the greatest challenge in ogun state at present.

The summit was attended by other resource persons and invited guests like Barrister Bankole Solomon, Hon Tunde OLADUNJOYE, and the president of the National Association of Poly Students, Ogun State chapter,Comrade Ijaduoye Olasunkanmi Adetoye and others.

The Police Command made it known at the summit that the command will soon launch a body called Police/Students Relations Forum, which will comprise the Presidents and General Secretaries of all the Students Union Bodies in Ogun State.

This will enable the police and students community in Ogun State have sustainable understanding and relationship.
