Ogun Police Arrested Two Brothers For Robbery
1. The Ogun State Police Command has arrested two brothers, Iyiola Kazeem ‘m’ 19yrs and Iyiola Rilwan ‘m’ 21yrs for armed robbery. The duo were arrested on Thursday, 15th December, 2016 at Oluwole Fagbote Street Ota after attacking their victim, one Imafidon Oluwafemi at about 5.00am.
2. The victim of their attack was sleeping in his house situated at No. 14 of the same Street when the suspects broke into the apartment covering their faces with masks and trying to rob the victim of his belonging. They severally macheted the victim and while he was struggling with them, he succeeded in unmasking one of them and recognized him as his neighbour’s son.
3. Distress call was sent to the Police and the DPO CSP Muiyeedeen Oba led team of anti-robbery men to the scene and the two suspects were arrested. Recovered from them are cutlass and masks, meanwhile, the victim is presently under intensive care at Medicare Hospital Ota.
4. The Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Iliyasu PSC+ has ordered the immediate transfer of the suspects to Special Anti-robbery Section, Eleweran Abeokuta for further investigation. He also, assured the residents of the state of adequate security before, during and after yuletide season as the Command will not leave any stone unturned in order to rid the state of crime and criminality.
