Ogun police arrest man for killing friend

Detectives attached to Odeda Division of Ogun State Police Command have arrested one MR LAMIDI YUSUF of Opeji Village, for killing a friend in the Neighbourhood, MR OLADEPO ABIOLA on Saturday 16th January.
The suspect, according to the police spokesman, DSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi left his working place as a night guard at Arubiewa Farm in the area around 8am and noticed a movement in the bush, thinking it was an animal, opened fire on him with his dane gun, and killed the deceased immediately.
The suspect has been transferred to Department of Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Eleweran Abeokuta for further Investigation and prosecution.
The Deputy Commissioner of Police, Celestine Okoye, who spoke on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, Abdulmajid Ali, directed that the case be thoroughly investigated and subsequently prosecuted.
He further promised that the command will make sure justice prevails in the matter.
