Ogun Police Arrest Man for Defiling 10yr-old-girl

Nigeria Police operatives attached to Ojodu Abiodun Division have arrested one Wahab Abdul-Aziz of Sparklight Estate, Isheri Olofin, Ogun State for forcefully having unlawful carnal knowledge of a10 year old girl at an abandoned building within the same estate, on Monday 4th April, 2016.
According to a release by the Police PRO, DSP Muyiwa Adejobi, the girl, who was sent on errand by her mother, was lured into the abandoned building and was defiled by the suspect .
The mother of the victim reported the incident to the police, hence the arrest of the suspect who has confessed to the crime.
The release stated that the state Commissioner of Police, Abdulmajid Ali, has directed the Divisional Police Officer in charge of Ojodu Abiodun to transfer the case to Anti Human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of Department of Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Eleweran Abeokuta for proper investigation and prosecution.
He has also advised residents in Ogun State to always encourage owners of abandoned or isolated structures to work on them or make them clean(clear the bushes) always so as to debar hoodlums from using them to perpetrate evil acts of this nature.
COMPOL Ali further advised the general public to cooperate with the police to fight crimes and social vices like this as such barbaric and inhuman acts must be totally eradicated.
He asked the public to report such to the police, not minding any social stigma.
CP Abdulmajid Ali promised to cause anyone arrested for similar offences to face full wrath of the law.
