Suspected Cultists arrested by Ogun Policexz

Ogun State police command has announced the arrest of some suspected cultists alledgedly involved in the killing of one Yusuf Ogidan,  in Agbado area of the state recently.

It also announced the arrest of some kidnappers who kidnapped 2 female teenagers in Onihale, Ifo.

A statement released by the state police spokesman, DSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi revealed that the Police operatives attached to Agbado Division of the command on Tuesday embarked on massive raid of black spots in Agbado and its environs after the police got a tip-off on the whereabout of some suspected cultists, members of Aye and Alora, who had clashed within the area recently for supremacy, which led to the death of Yusuf Ogidan, and arrested six(6) members of Aye confraternity.

The suspects according to the release are, MICHAEL AYODELE, M, TAOFIK ADEOSUN, M, OLADIPUPO DAMILARE, M, FEMI ISEOTAN, M, SAMUEL AKINYELE, M, and ANJORIN ISMAIL, M,.

The suspects, according to Adejobi have made useful statements in connection with the killing of Yusuf Ogidan, a member of Alora confraternity.

In another development, the Police detectives attached to Otta Division led by the Divisional Police officer have rescued 2 female teenagers from their abductors on Tuesday, while on Anti Crime patrol along Ijako/Sona road otta, in Ado Odo Otta Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The victims(names withheld) who reside at Ogunade, Onihale, Ogun State were kidnapped at their residence by the kidnappers, RASHEED LASISI, M, of Koleoso Compound, Ijemo-Agbaadu, Abeokuta and JIMOH DADA, M, of Sango Otta, on Tuesday, and were trying to escape through otta before they were intercepted by the police.

The Commissioner of Police Ogun State CP Abdulmajid Ali has commended the police operatives for the good operational jobs and directed that all  the suspects be transferred to the Department of Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Eleweran Abeokuta for further Investigation.

It will be recalled that the State Commissioner of Police has declared aggressive fight(within the ambit of the law) against cultists and other criminals in Ogun state particularly cultists as many of them are responsible for major criminal acts recorded in Ogun State, and henceforth, there wont be any room for them to raise their heads again in Ogun State.
