OGUN POLICE ARREST DISMISSED SOLDIER, FRIEND FOR WOUNDING A MAN

Police operatives attached to Ajuwon Division of the Ogun State Police Command on Tuesday arrested a man, Bamidele Olasunkanmi said to be a dismissed soldier.
According to a release by the State Police spokesperson, DSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the suspect, residing at No 25 Doland Estate, Akute, Ajuwon of the State, who was dismissed from the Nigerian Army in February 2014, and his friend, one Ehis Ehizune of No 9, Isekire Street, of same Ajuwon were arrested for stabbing and wounding a man who is now hospitalized.
The incident, Adejobi stated occurred around 0600hrs of Tuesday when there was an argument between the dismissed soldier and a group of boys including the injured man on a minor conflict which had occurred on Monday(previous day) before the fake soldier, who was on complete NA uniform, brought out a jack knife and stabbed the victim repeatedly.
Meanwhile, the state Commissioner of Police, Abdulmajid Ali has directed that the matter be properly investigated as the command wishes to put an end to impersonation that is a bit high presently in the state.
He has also urged members of the public to report anyone, who claims to be an officer of any security agency but behaves in a suspicious way to the police for interrogation as such a person could be fake.
