Ogun Police Arrest Armed Robbers,Recover Loots With Arms.

Nigeria-police-logo1.jpgBarely a day to the killing of some armed robbers in a shoot out with a police team in Agbado Ogun State, another anti robbery team attached to Ajuwon Division of Ogun State Police Command has arrested three suspected armed robbers on Tuesday 28th July at 0200hrs after robbing a man at Olumoro Street Olambe in Ajuwon Area of the state

The police team was responding to a distress call put across while on patrol that some robbers robbed the victim and carted away some amount of money and his valuables,when the police team gave a hot chase to the robbers towards Olambe junction and arrested  three out of the robbers with the sum of fifty thousand,four hundred and ninety five naira(#50,495:00) taken away from the victim(name withheld),some guns and mobile phones.

The robbers had fired some shots at the victim which left some injuries on him before they escaped from the scene,but has been taken to the hospital by the Divisional Police Officer in charge Ajuwon Division for proper medical attention, and he is responding to treatment.

The suspects arrested include Victor Akindele,24, of Ojodu Isheri, Muritalah Ahmed,27, of Alagbole Ojodu Area and Afolabi Olatunji,32,of Alagbole Ojodu Area. The suspects came on motorcycle for the robbery operation.

The Commissioner of Police ogun State CP Ikemefuna Okoye has directed that the suspects be taken to the Department of Criminal Investigation Eleweran Abeokuta for thorough investigation;and has commended those who made the distress call to the police for their civic responsibility towards adequate security of lives and property in Ogun State and the policemen who raced down to the area and gave a hot chase to arrest the suspected robbers.

CP Okoye has also directed the Area Commander in Otta Area Command of the state,ACP Titi Kayode to make sure he supervises his officers and men in his Area Command as the Ogun State Police command will not tolerate any criminal act or social vices recorded in the area.
