Ogun appoints new Chief Of Staff
The Ogun State Government has announced the appointment of Professor Ganiyu Olatunji Olatunde as the new Chief of Staff to the State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun.
In a press statement by the secretary to the state government, Mr Taiwo Adeoluwa, the new chief of staff is from Ikenne local government area of the state. He is a Professor of Entomology, Olatunde was at various times the Acting Vice-Chancellor and Deputy Vice-chancellor of the Osun State University, Osogbo.
He has a Doctorate (PhD) and Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Agriculture and Agricultural Biology from the University of Ibadan respectively. He also has a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Zoology from the University of Lagos.
Professor Olatunde replaces the former Chief of Staff, Emmanuel Ademola Ogunnaike, who resigned his appointment. The 57 year old Prof. Olatunde has spent over 24 years in the academia and has over 40 publications to his credit.
The Chief of Staff is expected to be sworn-in on Friday, 25th October, 2013 at the Executive Council Chambers, Office of the Governor, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta
