Obasanjo predicts Better Days for Nigeria as Buhari’s Inauguration Draws near
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has said that there are better days coming for Nigeria as the inauguration of Gen. Muhammadu Buhari’s administration draws nearer.
While receiving and addressing Southwest women leaders at his Presidential Hilltop residence in Abeokuta, Ogun state, Obasanjo said that the incoming administration serves as a new opportunity for the country.
He also stated that Buhari’s experience in governance would help the President-elect and the country. He however advised Buhari to ensure he delivers to Nigerians, as their expectations are high.
He said: “There is very high expectations about the in-coming government to sort things out quickly for Nigerians. There is equally a high level of goodwill locally and internationally in its favour.
“Buhari should take the right steps within the next three months of being sworn.
“Nigerians are watching and counting to see what would be done to better their lots.”
