Obanikoro Takes PDP and Agbaje to Court over Primary Election Results
Former People’s Democratic Party Governorship Aspirant in Lagos state, Musiliu Obanikoro has declared plans to sue the party and its candidate, Jimi Agbaje, to court over the outcome of the governorship primary elections.
The former Minister of state for Defence said his dispute was due to the fact that during voting at the primary, 806 delegates were initially listed, but when the total figure for voting delegates finally came, 864 votes were apparently cast.
He announced his plans via Twitter page, saying: “The 48 hours timeline stipulated by the PDP Electoral Guideline to address our appeal has elapsed without a response from the party. #MO
“In the light of this development, we have proceeded to the Federal High Court, Abuja to seek redress. I urge all our teeming supporters to remain steadfast. We will pursue this to a logical conclusion and justice will be done! #MO”
