Oba of Benin Passes on
The Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty, Omo n’Oba n’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo Erediauwa, has passed on at the age of 92.
The late Oba was on the throne for 36 years.
There are however unconfirmed reports that the Oba passed on about two weeks ago.
News of his death was however unannounced in accordance to the traditional rites of Benin kingdom.
He is set to be replaced by Prince Eheneden Erediauwa.
