Nweke Jnr pledges to defend workers’ interests if elect as Senator

Mr. Frank Nweke Jnr. Who is the Director General of Nigeria Economic Summit Group, has pledged to defend all genuine labour aspirations aimed at fostering the country’s economy.
Nweke who made this pledge in a May Day message, on Thursday, said that if elected a senator to represent Enugu East senatorial zone in 2015, he would participate actively in labour related legislation.
While extolling the virtues of Nigeria labour leaders like late Pa Michael Imodu, Paschal Bafyaue, Morgan Anigbo, among others still alive congratulated Nigeria Labour Congress and the Trade Union Congress for their understandings with government that have always led to peaceful resolutions of labour unrests.
“Nigeria workers are among the greatest nation builders since independence. The economic potentials of Nigeria rests with workers who are entitled to their wages and contributions to the prosperity of their nation,” he said.
