PDP Crisis: NWC Commends Jonathan, Okays Political Solution Proposal of Governors

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party, on Wednesday at its first meeting after the Court Appeal declared Senator Ali Modu Sheriff the authentic Chairman of the Part commended former President Goodluck Jonathan for his leadership roles in finding lasting solutions to the crisis rocking the party . The meeting which was held at the Party’s National Secretariat at Wadata Plaza, Abuja endorsed among many other things, the “political solution” option suggested by the Governors elected on the platform of the party.
In a release signed by the National Secretary of the party, Professor Wale Oladipo and made available tonigerianecho.com, the NWC also called on the staff of Secretariat to resume work immediately.
“The NWC restates its readiness to fully participate in the peace process.
“The NWC hereby calls on all staff of the PDP National Secretariat to resume duties immediately.
“NWC received and approved the request from Ebonyi State PDP for the approval of the time – table to conduct primaries for the local government elections”, Oladipupo noted.
The NWC also commended the National Chairman, Senator (Dr.) Ali Modu Sheriff for the swift renovation of the National Secretariat.
