Sharing is caring!

The Governors of the 19 Northern States in Nigeria have agreed to help the Federal Government fight against the Boko Haram sect terrorising their states as they have also become a threat to national security.

Niger state Governor, Babangida Aliyu, who is also the Chairman of the Northern Governors Forum, revealed this during the commissioning of the Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation Office Building in Kaduna on Monday.

The forum urged President Goodluck Jonathan to declare total war on the sect as they have limited powers to combat the terrorists. They also appealed to the government to create state police so that they can improve the state of security in their states.
