Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB Leader and Fugitive, Arrested
The leader of the separatist group, the Indigenous people of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu has been arrested. Sources informed nigerianecho.com.ng that his arrest was made possible due to the collaborations of Interpol and has been extradited to Nigeria.
According to the Nigeria’s Attorney General and Minister for Justice, Abubakar Malami, Kanu will be taken to court to answer charges of terrorism and reasonable felony brought against him before he jumped bail.
Nnamdi Kanu has been running the affairs of the proscribed secessionist group, IPOB from his location outside Nigeria. Eastern Security Network, ESN, a military wing of the organisation which was formed few months ago has been accused by the Nigerian Police of being responsible for the horrendous killings of the Security men in the South East region of the country. Kanu however denied this.
