Nigerian and Ghanaian Actors to Clash in Independence Match

Ghana’s 57th independence anniversary

The Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN and the Ghana Actors Guild, GAG are set to clash in a football match at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi on Thursday in an event that is part of a number of activities to commemorate Ghana’s 57th independence anniversary celebration.

Organisers of the event, Koba Consults and Marbizila Company Limited said that the Nigerian team which would be represented by popular stars like Mr Ibu, Patience Ozorkor, Desmond Elliot, Mercy Johnson, Osoufia, Aki & Pawpaw, Victor Osuagwu and others, began preparations a few weeks ago.

Their Ghanaian counterparts will be represented by the likes of John Dumelo, Majid Michel, Prince David Osei, James Gardener, Jackie Appiah, Nana Ama Mc Brown and others and are also currently in a non residential camp training. They will be rounding up their training session in Accra tomorrow.

According to the CEO of Koba Consults, Swanzy Essuman, “Certainly, the two games for the actors and the actresses are set to ignite fun. It’s Ghana’s Independence Day celebration, it’s all about fun, taking stock of what our founding fathers did for our beloved country, and our Nigerian brothers have decided to join us in the fun.”
